SoHo street life
SoHo street life
Title: SoHo street life
Photographer: Laurence Bruneau
Location: New York
Caption: SoHo is very well-known for its stores and of course its Cast Iron buildings. It is an industrial architecture from the mid 19th century. Before the pandemic, this neighborhood was always very lively, of course now it's different... This picture was taken during the pandemic, in June 2020, not long after lockdown was lifted and people started to get back to the streets, even though most stores were still closed. It was an opportunity for the street artists to paint social art on the plywoods protecting the stores to illustrate the race and social reckoning that was happening.
